Ryan DeFranzo is a musician, composer and performer in New York City. From very early on, Ryan was strongly influenced by film scores, video game scores, and theatre. He grew up listening to his mother perform classical and sacred music within her church community, which was filled with adept musicians. As a small child, he took to the piano and would continue to develop his own musical and spiritual identity. After completing a college degree with the aspiration of performing as an actor, Ryan found himself working in the studio with dancers and composing scores for various forms of media.

Today, Ryan runs SpaceTime Media, a music composition studio, and performs both repertoire, improvisation, and original music for companies such as New York City Ballet, American Ballet Theatre, and Dance Theatre of Harlem. Ryan is sought after for his sonic storytelling abilities and his talent for inspiring movement. Incidentally, Ryan will be returning to performing as an actor in some upcoming films following in the footsteps of idols like Ryuichi Sakamoto.
